Meet the Granocchici……an affectionate term for the locals!
With a long-standing passion for Italy and all things Italian, we bought Villa San Luigi in 2010 and have recently completed an exceptional restoration. Retaining original features and combining the best of Italian craftsmanship with luxurious and timeless furnishings and original artworks collected from across the world, Villa San Luigi is an outstanding home away from home in undoubtedly one of the most beautiful regions of the world.
As well-travelled as we are, having lived overseas for the last decade, we are now happy to call this wonderful area of Southern Tuscany, ‘Home’ and delighted that we can share the experience with our guests, whom we are sure will come to love Villa San Luigi, this region and its people, as much as we do.

Recent gathering of the Granocchici at Vila San Luigi Pool Party…
The magnificent travertine pool with an infinity-edge overlooks the private lake, with far-reaching views across to the Crete Senesi and Val D’Orcia.
The expansive terrace is furnished with sun-loungers and parasols to provide shade from the hot Tuscan summer sun, whilst the bathroom beneath the pool houses a large rainfall shower for cooling down. Adjacent to the pool terrace is a lounge area with a pergola and comfortable seating for those who prefer a bit more shade. The exceptional external kitchen is equipped with everything you will need to rustle up a poolside lunch or gourmet sunset dinner including a Forno (pizza oven) and gas-fired barbeque, two-ring burner, dishwasher, fridge and ice-maker. At night, the lighting, candles and fire-pits turns the pool terrace into a magical place to dine, enjoy an aperitivo, or simply gaze at the stars.
